Ras Al Khaimah half marathon

All up to RAK this morning to 'Live the experience' of the half marathon. Sheikh, check; old Russian military chopper, check; Africa pro athletes winning, check; 100's of labourers with camera phones, check!

Dubai night running: Series 3

Extended gallery. Run, metro, run; with Samantha. 2km to Mall of the Emirates metro station, descend at Al Jafiliya. Crowded trains! Trade Centre roundabout, Al Diyafah Street (is buzzing), Russian Beach, Beach Road to Al Thanya. Approx 20km in total. The road to Singapore (70.3) starts here.

Dubai night running: Series 2

Second in the series of 'night running' photos. Training runs armed with Pentax Optio 6.0. Tonight was was a 13 km route starting parallel to Sheikh Zayed Road, over to the Burj Al Arab, along the beaches and back home along Al Thanya Street. Black cats, national guys watching TV and chatting on the beach, taxi queues and a drink stop at a night shop.
