Taxis of Beirut

Best and worst things about Beirut are the taxis. Always there, always horns beeping, some cool drivers and some absolute stronzi. The old Mercedes are classics and the best way to travel in the city. (Multi-coloured with decades of being panel replacement, old leather interiors and pre-headrest era seating. Roomy and the old drivers are usually the best craic.)

Cream, olive green and matte black.  Great combo.

 Touting on the Gemmayze strip.

Late night run to Monot Street. $10.

Chillin' at a crossroads on Hamra.

Airport to the Corniche ride. $10 plus.

Paddy gearing up to attempt the first sub-$10 ride.

I feel like I could write this book after traveling with Felice. Snapped in departures, Beirut airport.
